We've put in a patch fix for this which should go out in the next build. It also explains why the game loads with a black screen. So, this is why you're getting a crash there. When you go down to Credits, we put up the build number and the graphics device the game is using in the bottom left of the screen (for help with people with an integrated chip and gfx card who were having problems with their system only using the chip). The crash is quite odd, it seems your system thinks there is no graphics engine initialised for some reason. This issues both just popped up one day, as I have been playing the game since release. Its a black screen with hud visible, the game is also not frozen as I can use the mini-map to see that my character can attack, move, and talk to npcs.(I have included a screenshot in the zip file as this does not count as a crash so no file is created). ![]() This however leads me to my second issue, all I can see in-game is the hud. I can still get into the game as long as I stay away from the achievement option on the main menu(the in-game pause menu achievement option works). ![]() Doing so freezes the game and results in a crash after a few seconds. The first one is at the main menu when I move the cursor on or past the achievement menu option. Messaggio originale di Erebus:So I have two issues. Your dxdiag file (click here for info on how to run a dxdiag)ģ) Include a link to the above files in your report for us to access. Your mdmp files (C:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Fable Anniversary\Binaries\Win32) Your save files (copy the entire Fable HD folder: Documents\my games\FableHD\Saves If having tried the above you're still having crashes, please report your crash with the following template:ġ) Give us steps to reproduce the crash and tell us if you were able to reproduce the issue yourself (please give us as much information as possible - i.e., what were you doing in-game when the crash happened? Give clear/simple steps)Ģ) Zip and upload the following information to a file transfer service (we'd recommend Onedrive ): Select the 'Local Files' tab and click the 'Verify Integrity Of Game Cache.' ![]() Go to your Steam library, right click Fable Anniversary and select 'Properties'. My favorite part of Anniversary is that you can use the Fable II controls. Fable 1 (OG, TLC and Anniversary) is probably the game Ive played through the most times. Delete everything in your config file (\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\Config) Fable is my favorite game franchise and Fable 2 is my favorite game of all time. ![]() To make sure the thread remains helpful, please stick to the reporting template and avoid any other discussion.įirst though, try the following steps to see if you're able to fix the issue:ġ) May sound obvious, but check out the Steam Support pages to see if there's an easy fix.Ģ) If you've edited your ini files, revert them back to default. Nowadays, you will be lucky as I said if you can play the game on low, then again the first Fable was not that intensive on systems given how old the game is, and this re-hash shouldnt be that more intensive compared to the latest next-gen engines (though it is a new engine as opposed to the old engine they used that apparently, what, burnt. To help us investigate, please use the template below to report the crashes to us. We know some of you are still experiencing game crashes. For the original game it will be 0x18 (which is 24), and in my mod they will be 0x3C (which is 60.) This mod increases the framerate. To adjust the framerate: Grab a hex editor and do a byte search for 47 46 58 (or GFX in uppercase), the 16th byte after GFX will be the framerate. Would not recommend high as it can have a magnifyingly effect on the things on the bottom of the screen or your perrifial viewĭOF can also be turned of in the same. To install: Simply extract WellingtonGame into your Fable folder. (CTRL+F) "DefaultFOV=90" change this to higher value if you like, mine is currently at 120 ini file "WellingtonSystemSettings" open it with notepad Well not sure if anything can be done with the cameraīut you could try turning up the FOV abit.Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\Config Nope this is normal for people who can or do have motion sickness in games, things such as Blur, DOF, Camera bobbing, Non-Sharp or lazy camera movements because of how it's made, All kinds of things can cause motion sickness, Even just plain first person. Quick tip: I recommend being good and doing all the good quests throughout the game, as once you finish the game you get all opposite alignment expressions.
